Jonathan starts at the top as Head Prefect
Jonathan Haselhurst has just started as a day pupil at Ashwicke Hall School but already he is in the thick of it as the new Head Prefect.
Jonathan will be working with the Student Life Co-Ordinator, Charlotte Best and other prefects to plan a programme of activities and events for the Student Life Organisation (SLO).
This involves meeting with staff and students to decide on a programme of educational and fun activities – anything from visiting Stonehenge to Go-Karting. By undertaking this additional responsibility Jonathan is rewarded with points on his school record which act as an endorsement to his positive role in school life.
Jonathan says, “I became the SLO Head Prefect because I like the idea of getting management points for helping others, and I really like to help others. I also wanted to be involved in something and the Head Prefect job allows me to be part of all the activities so I didn’t have to choose just one.
I really like the school, and I can’t wait for next year to show around the new students who will be attending then.”
One of Jonathan’s first duties is to be on hand to talk to parents at the October Open Days on Sat 1st Oct (10.30am) and Sat 8th October (2.00pm).
